Happy Two Months, Emerson!

It's been two whole months today since this sweet thing entered our lives.

Check up

Sister had her two month check up today. She isn't actually two months until Thursday, but nevertheless, her check up was today. It went great! She weighed in at 13 pounds 10 ounces. Yowzers!!! That's the 101 percentile. Ha! My milk must be made of lard. Her height was 23 inches which was in the 74th percentile. We have a little butterball on our hands. Love, love, love it! She got her shots and checked out as a thriving, happy, healthy baby.

Emerson's Baptism

 Emerson was baptized this weekend by her grandfather, Pop. How special is that? We had so much fun spending time with Joel's parents and celebrating God's faithfulness to our family.

 Coop was very upset with me for making him wear nice clothes Sunday morning. He is such a mistreated child apparently. Little stinker!

 Best family picture we got. I totally failed with picture taking! I wanted to do a photo shoot with Emerson in her gown and bonnet, but by the time we got home, she was exhausted and just wanted to go to bed. Oh well..we'll play dress up again sometime soon. The gown she wore is the gown that she wore in her newborn pictures, so you've all seen it before.

 Topping her off right before her big moment...Pop wanted her to have a full belly so she wouldn't be screaming at him during his talk. It worked! She barely made a fuss.

Such a sweet, special day. All praise and glory to God for a blessed celebration of His promises to us and our children and most of all the celebration of His faithfulness.

Busy!

I think my new name needs to be "Jill Busy Bell." I have always been the type who likes action. I like to be on the go, but oh my goodness, having three kiddos has taken "on the go" to a whole new level! We aren't necessarily away from home that much, but even while we are home, I literally only sit down to pee! And even then, I usually have company. Ha!

But really, I am loving having three kiddos....busyness and all. Sister is still as precious as ever, giving me lots and lots of smiles now, and the boys are as sweet, wild, and destructive as ever. We are so very, very blessed.

Side note: Speaking of destructive, Coop has cost us about $1,000 in the last year with is destructiveness!!!

He put quarters in my car DVD player, put a popcorn kernel in his ear, and flushed a package of baby wipes down the toilet and jammed up the entire septic system. Oh dear! What are we going to do with our little Dennis the Menace?!

Look at my sweet baby girl. She's getting baptized tomorrow morning and has her two month check up Monday. She has started sleeping 5 1/2- 7 1/2 hours at night now! Whoop!!! Seriously the sweetest, easiest baby ever.

Of course he's in pjs...they are both in pjs by noon every single day. Whatever floats their boats I guess.

Meeting Sister and More

 Joel's siblings came last weekend to meet Emerson for the first time just as they did with the other two kiddos around six weeks. Lots of fun chatting, eating, loving on Sister, and just being together. We are blessed with such great family on both sides!
 This is Joel's brother, Stephen, who the boys clearly adore.

 

Good ole GiGi. Carter took a special liking to GiGi this weekend. Lots of hugs and superhero discussions.

Kate, my sister in law, and the most fun aunt ever! She even came to watch Carter's soccer practice Saturday morning and basically babysat Coop the whole time so I could watch the practice. So sweet.
