Rolling Around

I titled this post "Rolling Around" because most of these picture are of my family rolling around on the ground or on the couch :) Is that weird? Probably. Oh well, I guess we like to roll around.

Here is Coop at 8 months old...so big! He is trying to crawl...not quite there but trying hard.

The bib says, "My Dad is cooler than your Dad"...Julia and Oliver gave this to Carter when he was a baby and both my boys have worn it a lot....such a funny bib to me.

Coop can stand up against the ottoman if you put him there. He's holding on for dear life here :)

Eight month pic in the green chair...trying to eat the sticker on his shirt.

The Bahnaks came to visit and here are Nathan and Meredith rolling around in the floor with Joel.

Su, Nathan, and Mer just chillin.

Carter thought Nathan was so cool.

Meredith hard at work with her art.

My boys rolling around as usual :)

Carter wants to "hold it"....referring to Coop.

This picture cracks me up.

The Path of Loneliness

The Path of Loneliness (repackaged edition) -
        By: Elisabeth Elliot
I have recently come across an awesome book that I HAVE to share with you. It is called The Path of Loneliness. You do not have to be dealing with loneliness to read it! I feel like I look at life in a whole new light and know God and why he allows suffering like I have never have before.
I can remember very few times in my life when I felt lonely: once in high school when my boyfriend and I broke up, once my sophomore year in college after coming down from a mountain top summer in Colorado with Campus Crusade, and a few times since I became a stay at home mom.
Loneliness is not something that I have struggled with a whole lot, but nonetheless, it has crept into my life a few times. I heard of this book, bought it, and have been changed because of it.
Elisabeth Elliot's total submission to God's will in her life is incredibly inspiring. She truly wants God's will to be done in her life NO MATTER THE COST and no matter the amount of suffering. This is an incredible read...thought I might pass it along to you :)

Lots from this week

Carter has really gotten into construction lately. We have a few construction sites up the street, and he loves going to see the tractors, dump trucks, etc... So needless to say, he LOVES this outfit I found him with the dump truck on it. He thinks he is super cool :)

Coop loving his bath.

Coop and his BB

Carter got two goldfish. Best 38 cents I have spent in a long time. He loves fish or "shish" as he calls them.

Coop looks so small in his huge high chair. He loves banging toys on the tray while we eat dinner.

Joel visiting Carter at his Thanksgiving Feast at school.

He was having so much fun playing that he didn't want to stop and take a picture. Typical :)

If you spend five minutes with Carter you soon find out that he is obsessed with music! It started with our keyboard, moved to his beloved drums, and is now the guitar. He has been wanting a guitar for a month now and talks about "g-g-tars" ALL the time. So BB and PawPaw got him a toy guitar because he gave up his thumb this week. The thumb ordeal has been really sad, but he is being such a good sport about it. We aren't out of the water yet, but he needed some cheering up, and that's where BB and PawPaw came in :) He has carried this guitar around since the second he got it...even slept with it last night! Thanks BB and PawPaw for bringing some smiles back to this house!

He likes to wash his hands A LOT :)

Look at that precious baby! He likes to chew the Aveeno lotion bottle. I love this picture of that sweet smile. Couldn't you just kiss his cheeks right off?!

Carter's Nap

Joel was watching the game today and looked over and found Carter asleep IN the ottoman. Ha! (I was at Wal-mart)
He slept for two hours in his cozy ottoman. So funny.
What can I say? He plays hard and crashes hard.

Poor Coop

Isn't this picture so sad?!
Coop has been congested for over two weeks, and it was starting to worry me that he wasn't getting any better. So I took him to the doctor today, and he has bronchialitis. He has to get these breathing treatments three to four times a day to help his brochial tubes stay open. He doesn't even fight the mask! He just sits there and looks at a book or a toy until it's over. Such a sweet little boy.
We go back in a week for the doctor to listen to his lungs to make sure the wheezing is gone.

I like this picture of him much better :)

Some Pictures

Isn't Coop so cute all bundled up? I love babies a bundled.

Watching Carter and DaDa wrestle...wishing he could join the fun :)

Just about every night before we put his PJs on, Carter loves to run around in his diaper, jump on the furniture, and wrestle with Joel. I think he feels free with no clothes on. Watching him play every night will be some of my fondest memories. Here he is laughing in the ground :)

Getting tickled

Running away from the tickle man

wrestling

So funny watching them roll around

Jumping on the furniture....probaby not appropriate, but oh well, he's only a kid once :)

Family, Football, Costumes, and Candy

Carter as Superman

Cooper and I went to visit Carter during his Halloween party at school.

This was the costume I bought for Cooper, but it was too hot to wear it, so I just put him in it for a picture, and he wore Carter's lion costume from last year. I have to say that he was super cute as both a pea pod and a lion.

Coop as a ferocious lion.

Playing with Pawpaw's tools.

Cooper is fascinated with my dad's face. Everytime my dad holds him, Coop immediately starts rubbing his face.

BB and her buddy

Joel and Coop on game day

Ginny, Randy, Will, Hannah, Rebekah, and Caleb came for a visit this weekend. Randy and Will are  Auburn fans, so they got to see us and go to an Auburn game. We had a blast! Ginny and I needed about a week to visit though. One weekend just wasn't enough bonding time!

Such a fun-filled weekend! Family, football, costumes, and candy...we need more weekends like that!
