 Only Joel would read to a child in the lying position. What can he say? He had a hard day at work....might as well lounge while he reads.

 Is Coop getting big or what? Look at that hair do....love his cow licks.

 I guess this is a boy's version of dress-up. Carter has every pair of underwear he owns on his head. Hahahaha! I was cracking up big time at this one! Such a goofy little guy.

 Coop has learned to talk on the phone. First he dials.

 Then he waits.

 Then he says, "Hey-wo" (that is hello for those of you who forgot what a 16 month sounds like)

 Then he says, "Bye, Bye" What a hoot!

 BB came to visit, and as always she brought...

 CANDY! Look at that red mouth....and notice his shirt is already in the wash :)

I think it is safe to finally let out my dark, black secret. So here it is...when my babies were infants, they slept on their stomachs. I know...I can hear you gasping now. Sorry....they had reflux, and they were absolutely not going to sleep on their tummies, so I caved. And oh they slept so so well....and so did I.

So what is so odd about that fact is that now this is how my boys sleep:

Flat on their backs!

How odd is that? They insisted on being on their tummies as babies. They slept that way for about a year, and then onto their backs they went. Hee hee. Just an random fact about my babies in case you cared to know :)

Here is a funny for you:

Carter loves for me to rub his back and his head and play with his hair. So yesterday, he layed down on my lap, and said, "Mama, pet me." :) Love him.

What should I call him?

Apparentely there has been some confusion about my second child's name. Quite often I am asked, "What should I call him? Is it Cooper or is it Coop?" So I thought I would clear the air on the matter.

His birth certificate says Cooper Arrington Bell, but he has aquired many names:

Coop

Coop-man

Coop Coop

Little Coop

Cookey

Coo Coo

And the list goes on.

Really he is called whatever comes out of our mouths at any given moment.

So, the answer to the question is....call him whatever you want to call him :)

He has a very dynamic name, don't you think? Perfect for such a dynamic little boy.

I am sure one day he will have a preference as to what his "official" name is but in the mean time, he shall be a boy of many names.

Love my little Coop Coop! And really love his name :)

We may not do everything right as parents, but we sure picked great names for our boys!

Slip N Slide = FUN!!!

I bought the boys a Slip N Slide at Walmart yesterday, and man oh man, was that a great purchase! They absolutely LOVE it. It is too funny watching them slip, slide, wipeout, laugh, crash, get muddy, etc...

 Getting it all ready. Gotta fill up the pool at the end and get the slide all wet, so the sliding is perfect.

When they first started, we had to give them a push. But after about 5 times, they figured it out without us. Phew. That was going to be a lot of work.

Coop still needed a push or two :)

Slip N Sliding is serious business and requires you to get very grassy.

I can't tell if Coop was having a good time or not.

Lots of giggling, squealing and even some strawberries on the rib cage....this is not for weenies.

Dada found a big bucket, so we made a kiddie pool for Coop.

I might morph into one entity with this lawn chair. I would be embarrassed if I tallied the number of hours I have sat in it over the past year. What can I say? I have two little boys who are at their happiest outside, so I might as well park it and enjoy the scenery.

Gonna really miss these days when my babies are ball practice instead of hitting me in the shins with riding toys. Soaking up all I can while they are at home with me.

Loved our slip n slide afternoon that was topped off with popsicles for the boys and a nice adult beverage for me and Hub :)

PJ Morning

We had a lazy PJ morning...very nice way to start the day. We actually changed from our PJs right into our swimsuits for a day at the pool. And now we are getting ready to head to the square in a little bit for some dinner and ice cream. I'd say it has been the perfect summer day :)

Notice the half-eaten muffin next to Carter. "Nuffins" are his new favorite food.

Of course we had to catch a few ants to start our day off just right. Notice Carter's PJs even have ants on them. We have an ant fascination going on right now at our house.

I didn't think they were supposed to look at you like this until they are teenagers. Ha!

Funny story....Do you see the chocolate all over Coop's shirt? Last night, we were reading a book, and Coop pointed to a picture of some cookies, and excitedly said, "Cookie!" I went to the pantry to give him a real cookie, and he looked at me in amazement as if he was thinking, "Wow! That really worked!" He thoroughly enjoyed his cookie, and said "cookie" about 25 times after the fact. Very proud of himself.

Calling the Indians

 Two good looking boys if you ask me :) They have become the best of buddies. Don't get me wrong, they are still best friends/worst enemies, but lately they are playing together so well, and having the best time giggling and chasing one another. So fun to watch.

The silly one of the family...always cracking us up. Lately he has been saying, "When I grow up, I want to drive helicopters. Dada's job is to help people with their money. Mama's job is to take care of Carter and Coop." Are kids smart or what?

Bell Beach Bonanza #2

Last week was the second Bell beach trip. The last one was three summers ago, and I was seven months pregnant with Carter. Can't believe that was three summers ago!

This year we took Carter and left Coop with BB and PawPaw....great decision! I was super sad to leave him and DYING to see him by Wednesday, but it would have been so hard to have him there with 23 other people in one house with him only being 15 months old and still needing two naps a day. He had a blast with his BB and PawPaw, and we had a blast on the beach. Boy, was I ever glad to get him in my arms yesterday!
