The Zoo and More

As you all know, Coop LOVES the bath. He crawls up to the tub several times throughout the day and pulls up on the side and looks at me as if he's saying, "Can I get in now?"

We made a trip to the zoo Saturday....great decision!!!! The weather was perfect, we got to hang out with good friends, and the boys had a blast. Carter absolutely loved the snakes and turtles. He told me several times this morning that he saw some snakes and turtles at the zoo.

Coop in the stroller as usual. He can't wait to walk so he can try to keep up with Carter. I ended up holding him most of the time so he could see all the animals and wouldn't feel left out :) He is such a trooper. I was worn out after holding that big boy all day.

Creepy alligator...of course Carter thought it was "cool, dude!"

Coop's favorite animal...the big fat hippos :) His YaYa is a hippo, so they hold a special place in his heart...or should I say they hold a special place in my heart (he doesn't even know what a hippo is). I am going to do a hipppo theme for his first birthday because he loves his hippo YaYa so much.

Lunch with the Monkeys

Carter wearing DaDa's hat....very handsome. This morning I was getting him dressed for church, and he looked at me and said, "Carter handsome." I guess self-esteem isn't a problem at our house for the time being.

Usual Sunday afternoon in the floor

I don't know what it is about this empty hallway, but my boys love it. They run/crawl up and down it all day laughing and screaming.

Coop is everywhere! He is so fast. If you look away for one minute, he is on the other side of the house eating something he isn't supposed to eat....usually some sort of paper or a crayon. He is also pulling up on everything now.

Mama's helper...Carter loves to help me do things around the house...unload the dishwasher, feed Coop, clean up, throw things in the garbage, take things to Joel or Coop, fetch things for Mama, etc...

Coop chowing down on Nilla wafers he isn't allowed to eat...he puts the whole cookie in his mouth...not good. He was caught red-handed by DaDa.

I have loved this warmer weather lately! Much more fun staying at home when you can go outside, go to the park, go to the zoo, sit on the back porch, etc... Looking forward to spring in Oxford :)

YaYa game, kisses, ottoman, IPad

This picture is hilarious to me. Coop's hair is wild due to lots of rolling around on the floor with his rough brother. But don't think Coop's innocent by any means. That YaYa in his hand is Carter's, and he knows it :)

Rolling around jerking the YaYa away from each other. Why they think this is such a fun game is beyond me, but they play it all the time. Carter takes Coop's YaYa and Coop takes Carter's YaYa. They think it's hilarious.

Coop has become quite the smoocher :)

Now that Carter doesn't nap anymore, we make him lay down on the den floor for an hour for "rest time" as we call it. It's really just a break for me and little time for him to relax from his wildness. (Everyone is happier after a little rest time.) One day last week, he fell dead asleep, so rest time turned to nap time. I had to capture a picture of him sleeping. I know he isn't a baby anymore, but he just looks so sweet sleeping.

Isn't Coop so big standing up?!! I can't believe he's 10 months old. I have already started working on a date and invitation for his first birthday.....so sad!

I love this picture...cheesy grin :) We downloaded this app on the IPad that basically shows pictures of tractors, firetrucks, trucks, etc... as you can see, it makes Carter very happy.

Such a happy boy....well, that is unless you deny him what he wants at any given time....oh the two's.

loves lining thing us, stacking things, organizing....I think we have a type A kiddo on our hands.

Walmart.....LOVES Walmart...helps me put the groceries on the register, swipes the card, and punches the buttons, and tells the cashier thank you and have a nice day.
stickers....this kid will do about anything for a sticker...He lines them all up on my oven door.

Playing

Carter all bathed, dressed, and ready to go to school...he loves school.

Building a fire for Mama. Carter loves being the helper around the house whether it's building a fire, taking things to the garbage, delivering things from Mama to DaDa, etc...

I talked him into wearing his hat for once!

We have entered the world of play dough. All Carter wanted me to make was drums, guitars, and pianos...typical. I wanted to make trees, flowers, birds, etc...I lost that battle.

I sat Coop up after changing his diaper and saw this. Sorry, Coop, I will try to do better next time. Ha!

Look at Coop admiring his older bro....so sweet.

Uncle Hull brought a "real" guitar to our house last weekend. As Carter would say, "Whoa, Dude." I am surprised Uncle Hull got out of our house with it without tears from Carter :) Thanks, Unc!

Free entertainment for Coop

Coop cries every time I take him out of the bath. It hurts his feelings because he was having so much fun. Look at that sad look...he would stay in that tub for hours!

LOVES his DaDa.

One of the best toys in the house. My kiddos love this ottoman.

We had a ball sledding! Carter would say "Again!" when got to the bottom.

Coop wakes up about an hour before Carter...we have fun playing just the two of us before wild man wakes up :)

BB and her boys....they love their BB and Pawpaw. Carter brings me the phone several times a day and says, "Talk BB" "Talk Pawpaw" They are very tolerant of the many phone calls :) He loves to perform for them. He sings Amazing Grace, ABCs, Jesus Loves Me, Zaccheus (sp?), and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star for his BB and Pawpaw. So sweet to hear him sing.
